If you've driven by Snow Hinton Park over the last day or so, you may have noticed a tall silver structure and what looks like a massive red spider web!

What you're actually seeing is the brand new 38 foot slide and "spacenet," which is a three dimensional rope climbing challenge, meant to promote the development of strength, coordination, and balancing skills. Once a child (or adult) reaches the top of the "spacenet," they crawl across a secure bridge and onto the platform leading to the slide.

A post on the Tuscaloosa Park & Recreation Facebook page stated,

We haven't had the official grand opening but the playground unit is completed and ready to play on.

Enjoy Tuscaloosa!
