I was born and raised in Greene County, Alabama, and educated in the Greene County School System. I am a proud member of St. John Baptist Church in Clinton, AL, the husband of one wife, father of one son, and grandfather of two. For many years, I sang with The Golden Bells Singers. Brother A (as I'm affectionately called by radio listeners) started in radio in March 1970 with only one hour daily, working 7 days-a-week for many years. You can now hear me weekday mornings from 5am until 10am, where I'm still dedicated to helping people and to gospel music, which is the love of my life
Born in Tuscaloosa County, I attended Tuscaloosa City Schools. Upon graduating from Druid High, I joined the radio family of Tri-City Broadcasting, and the rest is history! Aside from radio, I enjoy singing, playing baseball and football, and watching all sports! Most of all; playing hot gospel hits for people all over the world.
I'm a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and currently residing in Tuscaloosa. My listeners call me Brother J and I've been an active broadcaster for the last 49 years, 31 of those years associated with WTUG/WTSK. Join me Monday-Friday from 10a.m.- 2 p.m. for midday Gospel and Saturdays from 5 a.m. – 1 p.m. for the Saturday Morning Gospel Cavalcade on 790 WTSK.
