The details have been finalized for Saturday’s Hoops on the Quad event, officials announced on Friday. The event is a first of its kind at The University of Alabama that will take place at 11 a.m. CT, prior to the Texas A&M-Alabama football game that is slated for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff.

The event will be held on a special outdoor court and showcase both the men's and women's teams as they participate in a variety of activities that is sure to be entertaining for fans.

Hoops on the Quad will begin with a grand entrance from Foster Auditorium, followed by an introduction of each team. After the team introductions, both head coaches Kristy Curry and Anthony Grant will give an on-court interview, previewing their respective teams and what fans can expect for the upcoming season.

The hot shot competition will get things off to a fun start and will feature players from both teams competing against one another. That will be followed by a skills competition in which a few fans will be randomly selected to participate. There will also be a three-point competition, followed by an inter-squad scrimmage with the men’s team and a dance-off.

Once the hour-long event concludes, both teams and coaches will remain on site to sign autographs for 30 minutes.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for Hoops on the Quad and remain after to meet and greet the players and coaches.
